Transaction Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
How payment is taken
Payment is taken in full at the moment you place your order. A certified payment provider handles the transaction, checks the details against your bank or card issuer, and confirms the result back to us. Where the payment is not authorised the order does not complete, so nothing is charged and you are free to try again with a different method from the list below.
The total charged is the price shown at checkout, including any displayed shipping costs. No product or service is ever added to your order without your express consent, and we never charge a surcharge for using one payment method over another.
Security
Every transaction on this site is encrypted over SSL. In practice that means the details you type at checkout are scrambled before they leave your device, and they can only be unscrambled by the payment provider handling the transaction. Nobody in between can read them, including us.
The provider we use is certified to process card payments, and the entire payment step takes place inside that secure connection. This applies to every order, whichever method you choose.
Accepted payment methods
You can pay with any of the following:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Maestro
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Shop Pay
All available methods are shown at checkout before you confirm your order. Pick whichever suits you. If one is declined, the order does not go through and you can complete it with any of the others on this list.
Your card details
We do not store card details on our own servers at any point. The card number, the expiry date and the security code go straight to the certified payment provider, which handles them for the transaction. All we receive back is the confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, along with the order information we need to get your boots out to you.
If you save a payment method for future use, that is held by the provider or the wallet service you chose, not by us.
How the charge appears on your statement
The charge on your bank or card statement will appear as Zelora London.
If you see a charge you do not recognise, please contact us with the amount and the date before raising it with your bank. We can identify it for you straight away, which is usually quicker than going through a dispute.
Billing information
Please make sure the name and billing address you enter match the ones held by your bank or card issuer. A mismatch is one of the most common reasons for a payment to be declined. If you notice a mistake after ordering, contact us with your order number and we will tell you what can still be changed.
Currency
Prices are displayed and charged in British pounds (GBP) for orders delivered to the United Kingdom. If your bank account is held in another currency, your bank will apply its own exchange rate and may add its own fees, which is outside our control.
Refunds
Refunds are always made to the original payment method, at no cost to you. Timings and conditions are set out in our Return & Refund Policy.
